Growing requirements demand new solutions Our comprehensive portfolio of cable glands and accessories enabled us in the past to offer our customers and partner companies solutions for almost all applications. Due to the reason that machines and systems today are more and more often being designed and manufactured for global operations, the requirements for the associated parts are on the rise. Expanded temperature ranges, higher protection classes and pressure equalisation are in demand The characteristics of the plastic cable glands, in particular, are an increasing focus for our customers. UV resistance in this product area has in the meantime become an absolute must and is already completely covered in our established Euro-Top series. However, it is the temperature areas above all that are playing an increasingly important role – that is why we also have plastic cable glands in our portfolio, which can be used at temperatures from -40°C to 100°C. In addition to versions made of polyamide 6 in flammability class UL94 V-2, solutions in flammability class UL94 V-0 are also available. Providing good strain relief, both product series offer an above-average number of protection classes. Thanks to the standard O-ring mounted to the external thread of the cable glands, IP68 (10 bar) and IP69K can be guaranteed throughout. Approvals according to UL, for example, are as much a standard feature as the use of RoHS and REACH compliant materials. Even cable glands with integrated pressure equalisation are becoming increasingly important, since the formation of condensation in highly sealed electronic and electrical components must always be prevented.
